Whether it’s blood, plasma, stem cells, or research samples: Every donation can offer hope and enable medical progress.
Every day, donors are needed to help patients, make vital treatments possible, and advance medical research. Sometimes we also look for donors with specific characteristics (such as a certain weight or age, smokers, nonsmokers, etc.).
By participating, you can support the development of new therapies for people with life-threatening diseases such as cancer. Your mobilized stem cells are needed for a clinical trial and will help advance innovative research in Europe and the U.S.
- Who we’re currently looking for:
Male donors between the ages of 18 and 30 - U.S. citizens
- People who have lived in Europe for no more than four years
What to expect:

Shortly after you register, a member of the Cellex team will contact you by phone. We’ll explain the process in detail and answer all your questions.
- Preliminary medical examinatio
About 3 weeks before the scheduled donation, you’ll undergo a thorough medical examination conducted by our experienced physicians.
Your health and safety are our top priority at every stage.
- Mobilization
Four days before the collection, you’ll begin mobilizing blood stem cells from your bone marrow into your bloodstream by injecting Granocyte, a growth factor similar to a hormone produced naturally by the body.
- Stem Cell Donation
The mobilized stem cells are collected from your blood through a procedure called apheresis.Throughout the collection process, you will be cared for and monitored by an experienced medical team.
In exchange for your time and participation, you will receive an expense allowance of €1,070. Travel expenses will also be covered.
The cell donations will take place at Mediapark 5c in Köln.
